Matthew Harrison

Matt Harrison is Founder of Argonaut Advisors and serves as the Chief of Agriculture for the business. Matt is an expert on cannabis cultivation and production, helping clients to optimize their growth processes and implement best practices for long-term sustainability.

Throughout the course of his career, Matt has designed, staffed and operated more than 500,000 square feet of commercial cannabis cultivation facilities across North America, Macedonia and Canada. He has held multiple executive positions for both public and private cannabis companies. Since 2010, Matt has evolved production algorithms that emphasize quality and provide incremental quantitative returns at companies including Commonwealth Alternative Care, Ascend Wellness, LivWell and Ieso.

Matt continues to develop precision agriculture methodologies at LivFree Holdings LLC, which he co-founded in 2013 and still serves as a managing partner. He played a key role in the procurement of multiple licenses issued in Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada and Ohio. LivFree went on to build subsidiary companies including LivFree Wellness NV LLC, which was eventually sold to AYR (CSE: AYR.A, OTCQX: AYRWF).

Working in cancer diagnostics for much of his career, Matt has also drafted nuclear stain protocols for clients including but not limited to the Mayo Clinic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Kaiser Permanente® and LabCorp. Matt also holds multiple Danaher Business Systems (DBS) certifications in this field of expertise.
